Helping our Hawai’i Friends

Since Boyd Gaming’s founding more than 50 years ago, Hawaiian guests have been some of our Company’s most loyal customers. For decades, Boyd’s California Hotel & Casino has been a favorite Las Vegas destination for thousands of Hawaiian guests each year, helping establish Las Vegas as “The Ninth Island.”

So when natural disasters impacted our Hawaiian friends over the past several years, we felt a duty to step up and help our “Ohana” during their time of need.

After wildfires swept across Maui in 2023, Boyd Gaming donated $125,000 to the American Red Cross and the Maui Strong Fund in support of relief efforts on the island. Our team members took up the cause as well, donating an additional $35,000 to Maui relief efforts through Giving the Boyd Way.

Boyd was there for our Hawaiian friends again after severe flooding impacted Hawaii in March 2026. Following the natural disaster, Boyd donated nearly $100,000 to Hawaii Food Bank, the Hawaii Community Foundation and several other Hawaii non-profits – providing much-needed assistance to our Ohana in their recovery efforts.
