Our Green Buildings

Updated April 2026

An important part of our environmental strategy is our commitment to making our properties sustainable and healthier for our team members and guests.

Boyd invests in their buildings throughout their portfolio, implementing green building strategies. In addition to lighting retrofits, mechanical upgrades and water conservation technologies, Boyd implements commissioning during construction and monitoring based commissioning after occupancy. To ensure safety and resiliency, infrared testing is performed at all properties across the portfolio and recently Boyd implemented an air filter program across all facilities reducing waste and improving air quality. Boyd leadership believes that investing in operations is a good business practice to ensure that our buildings operate seamlessly and uninterrupted.

Boyd has received numerous green building certifications throughout our southern Nevada properties, including LEED Gold certification at the Orleans Arena. The Boyd Gaming and Uniform Services facility received LEED Silver, being the first awarded laundry facility in the United States. Additionally, Aliante, California, Cannery, Gold Coast, The Orleans, Orleans Arena, Sam’s Town and Suncoast have all received Green Globe certifications from the Green Building Initiative in recognition of improved efficiency with resources and operations, as well as a variety of accomplishments in green building and sustainability.

Leveraging Green Energy

Through our ongoing partnership with Switch, a leading Nevada-based data center, we have located our Corporate data servers at Switch's 100% solar-powered data facility. This partnership migrated a significant amount of our Corporate electricity consumption to a renewable energy source.
