Earlier this month, Ed Desormeaux, Executive Casino Host at Delta Downs Racetrack Hotel & Casino, was recognized at the second annual R.O.S.E. (Recognition of Service Excellence) Awards for Outstanding Casino Floor Professional.

During National Travel and Tourism Week, May 7-13, Visit Lake Charles showcases outstanding professionals in the hospitality industry who make the area shine. This year, nine hospitality experts of the Southwest Louisiana region were recognized for the excellent service they provide to visitors.

At the ceremony, Ed was honored by his colleagues for his dedication and commitment to exceptional service. Ed, who has been a part of Boyd Gaming for over 12 years, was recently promoted to Executive Casino Host, and now helps train new casino hosts and ambassadors. Rayneldo McClelland, Director of Player Development at Delta Downs, said “Ed is that guy where you brag to friends and family and you say I got a guy, I know a guy, it’s Ed. He’s laid back, but punctual and dependable.”

When asked about what this award meant to him, Ed shared, “It means a lot to me. All my hard work has paid off. I could not have accomplished this award without my great leaders at Boyd Gaming who make me love what I do.”
