Sam's Town Shreveport Team Member Finds Success with Boyd Advantage Program
10/9/2023
At Boyd Gaming, there are a handful of ways we celebrate
team members who are committed to successful performance in their work and in
their academic development.
Earlier this year, Alexis Hunter, Casino Host at Sam’s Town
Shreveport, graduated from Southern New Hampshire University. Hunter obtained an
Associate of Science in Business Administration degree, thanks in part to the Boyd
Advantage program.
Through the Boyd Advantage program, team members are
eligible to receive partial tuition reimbursement of up to $2,500 towards
undergraduate or graduate degrees. In order to qualify, team members must work
for the Company for at least one continuous year, work at least 20 hours a week
and receive a high-performance rating.
Hunter has worked at Sam’s Town for over seven years and decided
to pursue a degree in Business Administration to gain marketable knowledge and grow within the Company. She was
able to use the Boyd Advantage program towards the cost of tuition, fees and
textbooks.
“To work for a company that supports my academic achievements means so much,” Johnson shared. “It really shows how much Boyd supports professional development, and this encourages employees to continuously learn and push for success.”
Congratulations Alexis on achieving this major professional milestone!
