In February, Boyd Gaming Corporation and the Boyd family donated the largest combined family and corporate gift in UNLV Athletics history, totaling $6.5 million. The sizeable contribution will help drive the “Rebel Up” campaign which supports the construction of the Boyd Multi-Use Indoor Practice Facility, benefitting both men’s and women’s sports programs at UNLV.

Boyd Gaming’s longstanding partnership with UNLV spans decades. In 2018, the Company committed $5 million to support scholarships, softball and renovations to the Lied Athletic Complex. In addition to supporting student-athletes, Boyd Gaming has contributed more than $30 million to the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV’s campus.

In an effort to continue this decades-long partnership, Boyd Gaming and the Boyd family stepped up shortly after UNLV Athletics announced its first comprehensive capital campaign, “Rebel Up.” The campaign is designed to enhance many areas within UNLV Athletics, including refining the student-athlete experience, providing funding for new facilities, elevating current facilities and building a stronger endowment program. With this incredible donation, Boyd Gaming has propelled UNLV Athletics closer to its fundraising goal of $150 million by nearly 25 percent!
