Sam's Town Hotel & Casino Shreveport team members Lucy Marquez and Anjala Lane were honored for outstanding service at this year’s Visit Shreveport-Bossier Excellence in Hospitality Awards, held on May 8 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
The Excellence in Hospitality Awards shine a spotlight on the stories of resilience, innovation, and creativity within the region’s tourism and hospitality community. Categories range from food and beverage to executive leadership.
Lucy, who won the award for Outstanding Casino Floor Professional, is known for her vibrant personality, professionalism, and the genuine care she shows to both guests and fellow team members. Anjala, who won the ward for Outstanding Front Desk Professional, is known for brining an element of warmth and grace to every guest interaction, attention to detail, patience, and positive attitude.
The property is also proud to recognize the following team members who were nominated in a variety of categories: David Crockett, Darrell Davis, Roger Dodds, Dominique Hines, Ramon Perez, Jacqueline Robeaux, Joseph Sanchez, Miranda Small, and Monica Warren.
